Disney's All-Star Resorts

Disney's All-Star Resorts

Disney's All-Star Resorts are a trio of Value Resorts and they are usually the cheapest resorts to stay in the whole of Walt Disney World. Do not let that fool you though, these budget friendly accommodations still have excellent Disney service and theming!

All-Star Movies Resort focuses on classic Disney films, All-Star Music Resort features music-inspired themes and All-Star Sports Resort celebrates various sports.

All three resorts are located next to each other and share a similar layout and amenities but each has a unique theme and décor.

Rooms

Disney’s All-Star resorts offer both standard and preferred rooms and these are 260 sq ft. These sleep up to 4 adults and offer views of either the courtyard, pool or parking area. The preferred rooms are closer to the main lobby where dining, shopping and transportation are all located.

In addition to the above room choices, All-Star Music also offers the option of family suites. These are essentially two connected rooms (so have the bonus of two bathrooms) where you have 1 queen bed and then 2 queen sized pull down beds. These have been recently renovated and sleep up to 6 adults.

Dining

Food Courts (Quick Service)

  • All 3 resorts have their own food court which serves a whole array of different options breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are called World Premiere (Movies), Intermission (Music), and End Zone (Sports).

Pool Bars

  • All 3 resorts have their own pool bars which serve speciality cocktails, beers, wines and snacks such as pretzels and sandwiches.

Pizza Delivery

  • You are able to order pizza delivery fresh to your room at all 3 resorts too - a great option to feed the whole family after a busy day!

Pools & Recreation

All 3 resorts have their own themed pools:

  • All-Star Movies: Fantasia Pool (features Sorcerer Mickey spraying water) and Duck Pond Pool which is themed after The Mighty Ducks.

  • All-Star Music: Calypso Pool (featuring The Three Caballeros) and the Piano Pool which is designed to resemble a grand piano.

  • All-Star Sports: Surfboard Bay Pool (shaped like an ocean and featuring a giant surfboard) and Grand Slam Pool which resembles a baseball field.

The resorts all have arcades, playgrounds, nightly campfires to roast free marshmallows and show outdoor movies. There are also jogging trails for anyone who wants to get even more steps in on their Disney trip!

Transportation

The All-Star Resorts are located in the Animal Kingdom Resort Area. Complimentary bus transportation is provided to all Disney Theme Parks, Water Parks and Disney Springs.

Whilst the 3 hotels are all located close together, they do not regularly share buses. Occasionally, during slower periods like the middle of the day or if there are driver shortages, buses may be shared. If they are shared they typically stop at the resorts in this order - Sports, Music, then Movies.

  • Guests who are planning on spending a lot of time in the parks and less time in the resort itself

Adventures x Paradise Review

Disney's All-Star Resorts absolutely cannot be beaten in terms of value for money! We would always recommend staying on-site if this is in your budget and these resorts will usually be the cheapest way to do this. Both families have had absolutely amazing trips at these resorts. Because the rooms are built motel-style with no balcony and all doors facing onto an outside corridor, we find the soundproofing in these rooms is much better than some moderate or deluxe resorts so this is a big plus! We love the theming across all 3 resorts (with All-Star Movies being the most Disney in it’s theming if this is what you are looking for). The pools are all really fun and the food court is excellent for providing good value, quick meals with such a wide variety of choice to suit everyone in the family.

These resorts can get VERY busy with large groups such as school trips or sports teams attending competitions nearby. Some of Katy’s best memories of her first ever trip was watching the cheerleading teams practice at the resort but we understand not everyone will enjoy being here whilst it is this busy (and potentially chaotic!).

TOP TIP - The food courts can get busy so take advantage of mobile ordering - click that you are here as soon as you leave your room and your food should be waiting for you when you get there!
