Disney's Boardwalk Resort
Disney's Boardwalk Resort
Disney's BoardWalk Resort is a Deluxe Resort with a prime location along Crescent Lake, just steps away from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a charming, waterfront resort capturing the whimsical spirit of the Atlantic City boardwalks from the early 1900s, blending vintage charm with modern luxury.
As well as the resort itself, it is also a destination for visitors, with the lively boardwalk being full of entertainment, dining, and shopping options.
Rooms
Disney’s BoardWalk Resort offers a range of rooms and suites with views of Crescent Lake, the BoardWalk itself (BoardWalk view), or the lush resort grounds (garden view). Like many of the other deluxe resorts, it is split into two sections - the DVC rooms (BoardWalk Villas), and. the regular hotel rooms (BoardWalk Inn).
BoardWalk rooms have recently undergone a renovation, making them more modern, although they are some of the less ‘themed’ rooms on property. It is also important to note that not all of the rooms here have a balcony, some are just a small patio or window with railings.
Studio Rooms sleep up to 5 guests and include a kitchenette, queen-size bed, and a pull-down murphy bed.
One Bedroom villas (up to 5 guests) and Two Bedroom villas (up to 9 guests) are also available for larger groups and families.
For a more premium experience, the Club Level rooms offer access to a private lounge - Innkeeper’s Club - with snacks, drinks, and concierge services.
Dining
Flying Fish (Signature Dining)
A signature restaurant offering a sophisticated menu with fresh seafood and an upscale dining atmosphere
Trattoria Al Forno (Table Service Dining)
A classic Italian trattoria offering a variety of Italian-inspired dishes, including pizza and pasta
This location used to host a character breakfast, unfortunately this has not returned post-pandemic.
BoardWalk Deli (Quick-Service Counter)
Freshly baked pastries, bagels sandwiches, and quick bites plus coffee. It has an outdoor seating area on the boardwalk itself.
This is the only quick service spot at this resort, and is often discussed as a downside to the resort.
The Cake Bake Shop Bakery (Casual Dining)
The newest addition to the boardwalk has received glowing reviews so far.
An enchanting bakery offering delicious cakes, cookies, pies, macarons, coffee, croissants and also a full hot food menu.
Boardwalk Ice Cream (Counter Service)
Ice Cream parlour with ice cream and sundaes to go.
AbracadaBar (Bar)
“Pick a cocktail, any cocktail!” This curious cocktail lounge offers excellent libations with a unique Disney imagineering twist.
There are also various kiosks along the boardwalk itself, including a Pizza Window, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and a Margarita kiosk!

Pools & Sports
The Luna Park Pool has recently been renovated and is really fun (Bye bye Creepy Clown)! It is inspired by a 1920’s amusement park and features a 200-foot slide (one of our kids favourites on property!). There is also a pool bar located here - Leaping Horse Libations. Next to the pool area is the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, a circus-themed playground.
The resort also has 2 other leisure pools for a more laid back vibe.
Other facilities include a jogging trail, tennis courts and Surrey Bike Rentals - a fab way to explore the Crescent Lake area as a family. Head to the kiosk by the green and cycle the loop around the lake passing by the other resorts, you can get round the loop twice in a 30 minute period and cost $25-$28 for a half hour period.

Entertainment and Recreation
A vibrant, scenic promenade that offers entertainment, shopping, and dining. Stroll along the boardwalk and enjoy street performers, magicians, and musicians. Weekend evenings are a bustling time to visit and enjoy all the entertainment on offer!
The BoardWalk comes alive in the evenings with lively bars and entertainment. Enjoy a drink at Jellyrolls, a fun dueling piano bar, or check out Atlantic Dance Hall for a night of dancing.
The Screen Door General Store is one of our favourite stores on property, with a huge range of Disney-themed merchandise, snacks and souvenirs.

Transportation
The BoardWalk area (along with Yacht & Beach Club, and the Swan & Dolphin resorts), is one of the only resort areas offering walking paths to the theme parks. EPCOT can be reached in 10 minutes, and Hollywood Studios is a 20-minute walk away.
The resort offers also offers a boat service to the other resorts and the parks, plus the regular complimentary bus transportation.
The International Gateway to EPCOT is just a 10-minute walk away, and offers direct access to the Skyliner network!

Adventures x Paradise Review
Disney's BoardWalk Resort offers a charming, relaxed atmosphere during the day and lively nightlife in the evenings. The easy access to Walt Disney World’s parks is so handy and there's no shortage of activities to make your stay magical. We love hiring the Surrey bikes, or simply just strolling around the boardwalk as a break away from the parks, it really is one of the most beautiful areas in Walt Disney World. Whilst it isn’t our favourite resort to stay at, the amenities on offer outweigh the lack of theming of the rooms!
TOP TIP - Make sure to visit in the evenings and take in the nightlife, admire the festoon lighting reflecting off the lake, and maybe catch a view of the fireworks in the distance!
