Disneyland Paris - Latest News!
Not to be outdone by Universal Studios’ recent announcements, Disney has announced some exciting updates on the developments taking place at Disneyland Paris. These primarily focus on the newly renamed ‘Adventure World’ (i.e. Walt Disney Studios) as they continue their overhaul of this park. We’re summarised all the key changes for you below.
The new park will feature 6 themed lands; World Premiere Plaza, Adventure Way, Worlds of Pixar, World of Frozen, a new Lion King themed land and Marvels Avengers Campus. At present Marvels Adventure Campus and perhaps Worlds of Pixar are the only lands currently ‘complete’ but all 3 of the other lands are undergoing major developments.
World Premiere Plaza
The new entranceway to the park is due to open on 15th May this year and we can’t wait to see it when we visit later in the year! This will be a brand new, glamourous, Hollywood style entrance, completely overhauling the existing entranceway. The new area will feature the Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique and the Searchlight Kiosk. This feels relatively similar to the existing offerings, but provides a well overdue update and upgrade that we’re excited to see.
Adventure Way
The district outside the new entranceway area will also be revamped with a new Adventure Way and Adventure Bay being added, both due to open in 2026. Adventure Way will be a lovely family friendly area leading down to the new lake, featuring attractions themed around Tangled and Up. There will also be a new restaurant, The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, providing a new Disney princess character meal which is an exciting addition. Finally there will be a new nighttime show over the lake that looks simply stunning from the new concept art. This will feature giant water screens, fountains, special effects and drones!
World of Frozen
This completely new land has been in the works for a while and is now starting to take shape. Located on the far side of the lake and looking a lot like the version in Hong Kong Disneyland (check out our guide to Hong Kong Disneyland and vlogs elsewhere on the site). Featuring a towering North Mountain and bringing Arendelle itself to life, this will transport guests into the classic story itself. Said to feature the massively popular Frozen Ever After from Orlando and Hong Kong, this land is due to open in 2026 and is progressing nicely.
Lion King Land
Another completely new land, and to be honest something of a curveball by Disney given no other park around the World has a whole land dedicated to the Lion King. However, this makes it all the more exciting to be bringing something so unique to the Paris park. This isn’t scheduled to be finished until after the World of Frozen - so maybe expect 2027 (work isn’t beginning until later in 2025). It looks worth the wait though with a Splash Mountain/Tiana’s Bayou Adventure style log flume ride themed around the classic movie, including a massive replica of Pride Rock.
Hotel updates
And finally, some news on the ongoing updates being made to the hotels at Disneyland Paris. Firstly, the refurbishment of Davy Crockett Ranch is progressing well and new pictures are now available. These will be open later this year. Secondly, Disney have announced major refurbishment work at Sequoia Lodge, which in our opinion is well overdue. The updates will preserve the general feel of the hotel while refreshing and modernising the interiors. The new rooms will have a ‘Tales of the Forest’ theme with nods to the Disney classic Bambi. This comes after recent updates to the New York (now Marvel) hotel and the Disneyland Hotel, plus the ongoing updates to Disney Village which will ensure Disneyland Paris remains one of the top family destinations in Europe. We’ll make sure to keep you updated on all the major developments as they happen over the next few years so keep checking back for updates!
